Shakuhachi
Sakaguchi Yūzan first studied shakuhachi under Nakamura Kizan of the Tozan-ryū. In 1981, he became a Shihan of the Tozan-ryū Shakuhachi Gakkai. In 1989, he was granted the title grand master. In 1990, he won first prize in the Tozan-ryū Shakuhachi Gakkai Osaka Chapter Honkyoku Competition. He then became a student of Mitsuhashi Kifū. Currently a member of Pro Musica Nipponia, he is also the vice president of Toyonaka Sankyoku Kyokai and a member of Kifu-kai.
